When we change your goals, you will notice that we don’t pay attention to the % carbs or % fat targets.

The reason for this is that studies have shown when you eat the same number of calories and protein, it doesn’t matter if the rest of your calories come from eating a higher carb or a higher fat diet, they achieve the same level of fat loss.

The reason why protein % does matter is as discussed previously – ensuring you have adequate protein in the diet helps maintain your lean muscle mass, meaning that the majority of the weight you lose is fat loss, not muscle wastage.

Whether you choose to eat the majority of the rest of your calories from fat sources or carb sources is up to you and your personal preference.

But the only 2 targets you need to pay attention to are the calorie target and your protein target.
