My Notes

As well as there being calories in things that people overlook like drinks and sauces, a lot of people also have little habits that they probably aren’t fully aware of, that can easily increase their calorie intake by a few hundred calories a day.

And addressing these habits could be a really simple way to help you lose weight, without really making a sacrifice.

These habits can be things like picking at or snacking on other foods whilst your cooking meals - maybe you eat an extra bit of cheese whilst you make a sandwich or have a slice of toast to keep you going whilst the foods in the oven.

Maybe you finish leftovers off your partners or kids’ plates?

Maybe its picking at leftovers in the fridge when you just stick your head in to decide what’s for tea.

It’s things like this that can result in you consuming a couple of hundred extra calories a day that you don’t track, and that will affect your progress!

Once you recognise these habits you can decide either way.

You can choose to stop yourself doing it and save the calories!

or you can just be aware of them and ensure that they are also being tracked when you are doing your food diary, so your calorie intake is accurate.

It’s up to you, but it is important to recognise that things as simple or seemingly little as these, can have an impact on your progress.
