My Notes

Tracking your calorie intake using myfitness pal is a huge part of this programme.

When you are hitting your calorie and step targets - you will lose weight.

However – It is really easy to be inaccurate when tracking your calories, if you aren’t aware of and paying attention to certain things, and also aren’t putting in the time and effort to track properly.

So it is important to be as accurate as you can be.

Otherwise, even when you think you are hitting your calorie targets, you could be a few hundred calories out on a daily basis, which will make all the difference to your results.

And people say all the time – they tried eating only 1200 calories a day and they didn’t lose weight! So calorie counting doesn’t work.

But 99% of people in the world would lose weight doing that. What is actually happening in these cases is people aren’t tracking their calories accurately.

Remember calories matter whether you count them or not.

If you are not losing weight over a consistent period of time – you aren’t in a calorie deficit.

The reason why you are not in a deficit, will most likely be because somewhere you are consuming calories that aren’t being considered.

So the first thing to do is to make sure your tracking is as accurate as it possibly can be, and make sure you are aware of any hidden calories that you may be consuming that you didn’t consider before.

In the rest of this course we will take a closer look at some of the common mistakes people make when tracking.

And talk about how you can be as accurate as possible to ensure you get the results you want.
