My Notes
Before you write down your goals, I want you to start by reflecting on where you are right now.
I want you to think about how you feel about yourself at the moment. Think about why you feel that way.
As I mentioned in the introduction, people want to achieve certain goals, because they want to feel differently to how they feel right now.
Whether that’s more confident, more attractive, or prouder of themselves, they want to make a change for a reason.
So how are you feeling?
You may want to feel more confident in your clothes – if so, how do you currently feel in your clothes?
what is it that is negatively affecting your confidence at the moment?
It may be how certain clothes fit, what you see in the mirror.
If you want to feel a sense of achievement or proud of yourself, how do you feel now?
Perhaps you are disappointed that you keep saying to yourself you’re going to do something but never follow through
There will be a number of reasons as to why you don’t currently feel the way you would like.
Recognise these things, write them down, and write down how they make you feel instead.
Being honest with yourself about how you currently feel is going to be uncomfortable.
But by addressing this feeling, by making yourself uncomfortable it will help motivate you to change.
The purpose of this process is not to make you feel bad about yourself.
It is a process of self-awareness. I want you to pay attention to the impact these feelings are having on your day-to-day life.
When people have been stuck in a rut for long enough, it is easy to get comfortable with being unhappy and uncomfortable, just because it’s what you’re used to.
Making a change like starting this programme and committing to losing weight and reaching your goals can be hard. But it is important to realise that so is not reaching them!
So - How do you feel now? And why?
Take your time to answer the question, and to consider everything I mentioned in the video. Replay it if you need to. You have as long as you need.
