My Notes

The first thing for you to focus on, before looking at any results, is the process. What action are you taking?

Your goal may be to lose X amount of fat and keep it off long term. Great. But for that to become reality, there will need to a be certain amount of action taken, certain habits formed, certain things put in place in your life that make that achievable.

If you were to click your fingers now, and immediately reach your goal. Over time you would revert back to exactly where you are right now because you wouldn’t have made any changes to get there.

So to begin with the most important thing for you to focus on are these processes, tracking your food, hitting your step target, doing your workouts, watching these videos.

If you haven’t lost any weight in a week, that doesn’t mean you haven’t made progress.

Are you moving more and hitting your step target? Yes.

Are you training consistently following your programme? Yes.

Are you keeping a food diary and starting to learn more about the food you eat and your diet? Yes.

That’s progress. You are in a better place now, than you were before!

Too often it will get to the end of the week and people are waiting to see the number on the scales to determine whether or not it’s been a good week. The number on the scales does not determine that!

If you have done everything you intended to, you are learning, you feel good, then you have had a good week!

If you aren’t doing those things yet, being consistent with these habits and actions, then focusing on getting those in place first, is a better place to start than focusing on the outcome, because being honest what outcome would you expect?

Getting consistent with these actions, these processes, is what is going to get you the results in the first place, so make sure that is where you place your attention to begin with.
